INTRODUCING

Corporate sponsorship and volunteer mentoring
are good for business.

The Business of Giving

What does CORPORATE CITIZENSHIP mean for YOU?

Through Corporate social responsibility (CSR) programs, philanthropy, and volunteer efforts, businesses can benefit society while boosting their own brands. As important as CSR is for the community, it is equally valuable for a company. CSR activities can help forge a stronger bond between employees and corporations; they can boost morale and can help both employees and employers feel more connected with the world, particularly the local community around them.

Learn Why Organizations Like Yours Support StrengthBank®

For more information about why it makes such good sense to work with StrengthBank®

The StrengthBank® Vision

The bridge between today’s and tomorrow’s workforce is StrengthBank® Communication WorkOuts®.
Our vision is that no one is left without this principle learned whether in the current workforce or in the workforce of tomorrow:

  • Each high school student acquires before high school graduation the knowledge of how to discover his or her StrengthBank® as a benchmark for making adult workforce decisions.
  • Each mentor discovers how to raise the bar on his or her own StrengthBank® in the workplace.

Your Organization

Top talent is drawn to companies that go beyond making money to making  dreams come true. That giveback could mean your new hires come prepared to contribute from their highest potential

Your Volunteer Mentors

As volunteer mentors, your employees gain a sense of higher purpose that gives them the desire to be more engaged at work.  Additionally, they develop stronger leadership skills, experience personal growth and attain valuable tools that positively impact them at work and at home.

Our Students

They learn that they cannot have a happy life if they do not  know where they are  going.  The safest, most successful, and fulfilled  place to be is in the center of each one’s designed  purpose, that is, StrengthBank®.

What success comes down to for teenagers:

1. Improved performance (whether it be academic or skill based) toward each one’s life dream, vision.

2. Life-long learners with engaged, productive lives.

3. They graduate with purpose, direction and an understanding of how relationships work. No fear, anger, or angst.

Virtual Group Mentoring Can Bring Back A Non-Violent,
High Achieving High School.

The stakes are high and the outcome needs to be reliable.

Rather than encourage a larger dropout population and prevent a real world experience with life as it is,  why not accept the challenge to make a difference in today’s high school for tomorrow’s graduates and a future productive workforce.

StrengthBank® engages each student personally.
Rather than give the student another game to learn, book to read, test to take, or paragraph to memorize, StrengthBank® Talk Groups give the students life experiences to live, to relate to, and make decisions about themselves because of the experience.

StrengthBank® is founded on the understanding that character is not a lesson to learn but a developmental process that comes from living through and surviving positively the struggles in life.  Dependable, pleasing character is not a collection of lessons but a developmental process that has a standard of good.

What is StrengthBank® for High Schools

StrengthBank® For High Schools – A Relationship Skills Initiative is a living curriculum of everyday moments matched up to a greater perspective of life than making decisions through the lens of one person or one circumstance.  StrengthBank® becomes an identity for a lifetime of achievement.

StrengthBank® Definition:
The plan for each life that will prosper, not harm and that will give hope and a future.

What Are StrengthBank® Talk Groups?

StrengthBank® Talk Group

15-20 high school teens in a mixed grade level group and 2 virtual mentors. They meet bimonthly in 45 minute advisory periods (some schools call them flex time, homeroom, etc.) They are assigned randomly when each enters high school and the StrengthBank® Talk Group is their consistent base of understanding, communication skills, and relational growth until each graduates.

Each year only about a third of the group changes. As seniors graduate, sophomores enter to be mentored up by the new juniors and seniors. Not only do the teens get StrengthBank® mentoring but they learn to mentor as well – a precursor to good parenting. The StrengthBank® Talk Group becomes the common group or “family” group for each teen. Accountability and engagement is increased as they are known specifically to each other. No need to find a gang or ways to bond with others in aberrant behaviors.

Meet Our Founder

The StrengthBank® Story

StrengthBank Inc. Founder and CEO, Sandra A Shelton, MEd. CTACC, is a former high school teacher and principal internan who became a corporate leader, an engaging international speaker, author, workplace engagement expert, and community involvement strategist.

When she began giving corporate seminar and keynotes, she discovered that the workplace had become a hot-bed for conflict, high stress, and hidden agendas. Shelton then developed StrengthBank® COMMUNICATION WorkOuts® from the need to engage corporate audiences and inspire a higher level of productivity.  In order to combat the “its all about me” syndrome, she began developing and refining the confident, productive sense of self in the midst of working for a living. Each of us has a “bank of strengths” (StrengthBank®) that makes life and work more productive if worked out with others (COMMUNICATION WorkOuts®) to facilitate mutual engagement.

However, one can have great relationship skills but without work being an inspiration in itself, people resort to survival behaviors which result in more workplace violence, turnover, disengagement (employee disengagement is costing the US economy $350 billion every year), bullying, not to mention abuse of the public trust. As audiences began to realize that Sandra was giving them the “missing puzzle piece” for living and working to each one’s fulfillment, they began urging her to design the concept for high school students. A high school educator for 10 years, Sandra found it a natural extension and a way to contribute to the greater good.

Without solid relational skills, life is a battle for survival rather than a path for passion and pursuit of excellence. No demographic is left behind.  StrengthBank Inc. offers the heart of where companies, local communities, and public high schools have not previously had a synergized focus, a process to share and grow in together.
